Job summary

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Referral to Treatment (RTT) Validator.

As an RTT Validator you will be joining a small but busy team who are responsible for monitoring patient pathways, focusing on identifying and resolving data quality issues and ensuring that patients are treated as efficiently as possible.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for proactively monitoring and tracking 18 week pathways in order to ensure that patient journeys are processed in a timely and efficient manner in line with nationally and locally defined targets. You will ensure that data is validated throughout the patient journey and inputted correctly into local systems. You will monitor, report and track patient's pathways, identifying and addressing potential breaches, data errors or pathway errors and escalating through the correct channels for remedial action. You will be expected to build relationships and engage staff, service users and partners where applicable and be a resource of RTT knowledge, ability and delivery.

Qualifications

Essential
  • GCSE level education or equivalent

Experience

Essential
  • Handling, extracting and interpreting complex and sensitive data, undertaking long periods of concentrated working with unpredictable interruptions
  • Experience of NHS Systems and applications, particularly CareFlow EPR
Desirable
  • Expert knowledge of the Department of Health RTT rules and regulations, and working with and adhering to complex NHS Data Model and Dictionary definitions
  • Understanding a wide range of work procedures across different areas of the Organisation

Skills

Essential
  • Ability to analyse large volumes of complex data, with a repetitive nature
  • Assist in the identification of training requirements, based on analytical interpretation, and convey findings to line manager
