We are looking for new talent to help advance our plans and are looking for a Business Analyst.

Reporting to the BtLW Project Manager (Digital) the role will provide dedicated business analysis and delivery support.

Experienced in analysing stakeholder objectives and identifying improvements of business and clinical processes; the post holder will work with stakeholders to define current business processes, develop Target Operating Models, and develop processes, digital requirements, workforce models and change management activities to support transition to the new facilities.

The role should be considered an on-site role with the opportunity to take advantage from the Trusts flexible working policies. The role shall be required to work from any of the Trusts, although is expected to be mainly based at the LGI site or nearby.

Main duties of the job

As part of the BtLW Project Delivery Team the post holder will provide Business Analysis support to several workstreams including Digital and Innovation, Clinical Design and Planning, Workforce and Change Management.

This role will provide a variety of experience and enable the postholder to work with the Programme Team (including Programme Director, Design and Clinical Lead, Digital Lead and Workforce and HR Lead), and members of the Trusts CSU teams including senior managers.

The postholders main duties will include detailed planning of business and systems analysis to support the delivery of our Digital Hospital ambitions and our Clinical Design and Planning, Workforce and Change Management workstreams.

This will include analysing existing business processes, identify future target operating models and business processes, undertake gap analysis and developing functional and non-functional requirements and specifications of any proposed options and solutions.

This will be a dynamic and fast paced role where you will be involved in several projects and/or workstreams at any one time, where proactive engagement with colleagues will be key.

Job responsibilities

The postholder will be responsible for providing dedicated analysis and delivery support to the BtLW Programme Team in supporting Clinical and Non-Clinical Service Unit (CSU) Triumvirate Teams in the development, planning and co-ordination of inputs to the Hospitals of the Future Project, the wider BtLW Programme and other project as may be required. It is expected that the role will provide support to: the mapping, analysis and development of clinical and non-clinical CSU processes, workforce and project/programme inputs; design review processes; digital processes; communications and engagement activities; the development and implementation of change management activities; and providing general business and project analysis support to the process and physical transition to the new hospital facilities.

It is expected that the post holder will have Business Analysis experience in a similar role, ideally within either a Healthcare, technology, or Design and Construction background.

Experience

Essential
  • Significant demonstrable experience of business analysis and requirements definition of new systems and/or services to health organisations
  • Proven experience and technical understanding of the theory and practice of the following: Collation and articulation of requirements information from a variety of sources, e.g. via interviews, work
  • A strong background in liaising with a wide range of stakeholders to drive out system requirements.
Desirable
  • Understanding of technology enabled healthcare delivery
  • Understanding of Design and Construction processes

  • Diplomatic, self-motivated and enthusiastic with a professional attitude.
  • Ability to develop working relationships with Stakeholders including Senior Managers.

Qualifications

Essential
  • Business Analysis and/or IT related degree or an equivalent qualification.
  • Masters level qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development in relevant areas.
Desirable
  • Project Management training
  • Membership with a relevant industry body
