This is an exciting opportunity to be part of Leeds Teaching Hospital NHS Trusts plans to build new hospitals. With an award-winning, multi-disciplinary Programme Team and as one of the largest new hospital projects in the UK, the Trusts Programme Team combines clinical and design expertise, construction/project management excellence, and specialist roles. It works in a fast-paced and collaborative environment with responsibility for the planning, design, construction and delivery of the new hospital.

We are looking for new talent with workforce planning and organisation and cultural change management experience. You will support the development of effective Change Management Plans focused on cultural change to support the successful transition to the new healthcare facilities. You will also provide support to the development and implementation of workforce plans to support the new hospitals project. You will work with key stakeholders and will play a key role in supporting the project meet its objectives on time and on budget.

The role should be considered an on-site role with the opportunity to take advantage from the Trusts flexible working policies. The role shall be required to work from any of the Trusts premises, although is expected to be predominantly based at the LGI site or nearby premises.

Main duties of the job

You will support the BtLW Strategic Workforce and Cultural Change Lead by supporting the development, implementation and management of the overarching Organisational Cultural Change & Engagement Strategy/plan and an aligned Management and Implementation Plan.

You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team including members of the BtLW team such as Senior Project Managers and BtLW Workstream Leads along with colleagues across the Trust in Clinical Service Units (CSUs) and Corporate Teams.

Job responsibilities

Reporting to the BtLW Strategic Workforce and Cultural Change Lead the role involves supporting and facilitating senior operational and clinical managers to identify the change required, align to service and workforce plans, plan and deliver workforce education and training, and ensuring that all other relevant Programme Workstreams are actively involved and considered to include Digital and Innovation, Workforce, Architectural Design, Equipment and Strategic Fit.

The post holder will have excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills and will work with Clinical and non-Clinical Service Units to support the implementation and effective administration of change management plans and activities (relating to workspace, workforce education, training and transformation aligned to new systems and technologies; and the cultural and human factors of change aligned to service and workforce integration and new ways of working) in accordance with approved change management methodologies, the Leeds Improvement Method and the Programme Plan.

Qualifications

Essential
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
  • Evidence of continuing professional and personal development.
  • Postgraduate qualification to Masters level or equivalent experience.
Desirable
  • Change Management Qualification or similar.

Experience

Essential
  • Experience of being involved in the development and implementation of complex change management programmes involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Leading change management workstreams/sub-projects within wider change management projects/programmes.
  • Proven ability to support and deliver change management initiatives and support clinical services transition to new facilities and new ways of working.
Desirable
  • NHS experience in a Change Management Environment
  • Experience of leading and developing workforce plans across an organisation.
