Systems Administrator

Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust (LTHT) are looking for an experienced and dynamic Systems Administrator to join the Digital Informatics Team (DIT).

This role will be responsible for the Administration of multiple clinical systems used trust wide, providing support to clinical teams through the management of system access as well as the investigation and resolution of issues.

The role will require excellent interpersonal and communication skills through a variety of different methods, together with the ability to prioritise and manage a busy workload.

Experience of working with Clinical Systems is essential.

Main duties of the job

The Candidate Will:

Support system users of all grades and disciplines in the workplace.

Liaise with system suppliers and Trust IT staff for fault/incident reporting/resolution.

Devise & write new procedures and processes

Configure and develop clinical systems.

Provide End User support for multiple clinical systems in use both within the Trust and regionally.

Manage System Upgrades from User Acceptance Testing through to deployment to the Live environment.

Provide cross cover support for a number of other Trust Clinical Systems under the remit of the Digital Systems Manager and the Digital Systems Support Team.

Qualifications

Essential
  • Degree level IM&T or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
Desirable
  • Project Management qualification, or equivalent experience.
  • ITIL Foundation.

Experience

Essential
  • Experience of working with clinical applications.
  • Experience and ability to work with services to deliver an operational service and meet service requirements.
  • Advanced computer literacy and willingness to further computer skills.
  • A good understanding of policies and procedures regarding Information Governance.
  • Experience in the IT industry.
  • Specialist knowledge of the user service, procedures and protocols.
Desirable
  • Project management experience, either leading on projects or being part of a project.
  • Experience of MS Office Suite.
  • Experience creating Standard Operating Procedures and/or user guides.
  • Experience of working within an ITIL environment.
  • Experience of change management, collating, logging and managing change requests.
  • Experience of providing customer service through a variety of communication methods.
  • Experience of undertaking testing on systems and applications to deliver successful upgrades.
  • Experience of working within the NHS.
  • Experience working with external suppliers, including incident/fault reporting and investigation and raising service requests.
