Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT/Technical Project Manager based across Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust. Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust (LTHT) is looking for an experienced and passionate Technical Project Manager to join the Digital Informatics Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and professional individual to join the projects and programmes team in Informatics and work collaboratively with all stakeholders to develop and deploy new innovative technologies and infrastructure solutions that support the Trusts Digital Strategy.

Main duties of the job

The post holder;

Will manage a set of complex technical projects to professional standards.

Support, facilitate and monitor progress of projects liaising with our technology services colleagues

Support process and performance improvements

Lead a small team of specialists as well as providing matrix-management of project staff

Be responsible for developing Business Cases to secure project funding and subsequent management of these funds

Will be required to manage and advise project staff that have day to day responsibility for overseeing the various elements of implementation, working closely with clinical and non-clinical teams to introduce new ways of working that are consistent with new technologies

Experience

Essential
  • End to end project management experience
  • Experience of working in a technical setting
  • Strong stakeholder management experience
  • Experience of working within a defined project management methodology including the creation and management of relevant or artefacts
Desirable
  • Working with clinical colleagues
  • Experience of working in a healthcare setting
  • Understanding of national NHS strategies / policies and the challenges currently faced by the NHS
  • Securing and monitoring substantial project budgets

  • Project management qualification

  • Agile PM qualification
  • MSP qualification
