Our Digital Services Group (DSG) is a diverse business unit that provides a full spectrum of digital capabilities and is responsible for satisfying the technological requirements of the most secure settings. Reporting to our IT Team Lead, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your abilities and expertise to work alongside our small team of IT network and infrastructure engineers in supporting both internal and external projects.
You will be based at our Cambridgeshire Head Office, but this is primarily a field-based role with regular UK travel and occasional overseas travel, depending on customer location.
The invaluable experience you’ll bring
Working directly with the Hyper Converged Infrastructure engineer taking ownership of hardware / software defined networking including configuration, design, implementation and continual service enhancements. Leading the functions linked with MASS's software defined networking and creating efficient solutions that use best practices.
Essential Experience:
- Proven experience with SDDC and VMware vSphere cluster management.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and deploying NetApp Storage solutions with VMware.
- Hyper-V Deployments, Setup, Configuration and Fail over Cluster Configurations
- Hands-on experience with VMware NSX-T for software-defined networking.
- Proficient in Linux-based CLI, VMware PowerCLI, and NetApp CLI (ONTAP).
- Strong background in creating and managing automations in VMware vSphere.
- 1+ years supporting a multi-site network environment to include LAN, WAN, VPN, Microsoft, SAN, DR Systems.
- Ideally previous experience of working for an IT service provider in a professional services environment.
- Able to gather relevant information systematically to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Experience with monitoring systems

In addition, it would be nice to have one or more of the following abilities and be open to learning new technologies, such as:
- VCP-DCV (VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization)
- VCAP-DCV Deploy (VMware Certified Advanced Professional – Data Center Virtualization Deploy)
- VCP-NV (VMware Certified Professional – Network Virtualization)
- NetApp Certified (relevant NetApp certification)
