Commercial experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics and SQL is a MUST!

Primarily an Application Support role, you will be part of a team who are responsible for the ongoing support and development of the firm's legal applications, website, client facing extranets, internal intranet and reporting services.

The successful candidate will hold responsibility for the support of our existing legal case management systems, however wider support tasks covering all the areas covered by the team will also fall within your remit.

Experience of 2nd line support within a professional services environment and an aptitude for IT is critical. With the ongoing support of experienced team members, the successful candidate will be expected to work both independently and collaboratively on a variety of problems. We are looking for a career minded individual who can demonstrate a flair for problem solving and a desire to grow their IT skills.

We operate hybrid working practices with time split between our office in Chandlers Ford - and remote / home working.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support and maintenance of our legal case management systems and web presence.
  • Actively monitor and manage support calls assigned to the IT Applications team
  • Investigate and resolve IT application-related incidents, service requests and problems in a timely and efficient manner in line with business requirements.
  • Continuously monitor supported IT applications for availability, performance, and throughput, proactively addressing potential issues.
  • Provide timely communication to users regarding the status of service requests and incidents.
  • Liaise with IT suppliers when necessary to ensure IT application-related incidents and problems are resolved in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate technical documentation for the team.
  • Advocate for and comply with IT organization requirements, processes, procedures, and policies.
  • Support development and testing activities during application upgrades and enhancements to minimize downtime.
  • Proactively improve IT support processes and procedures to contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Skills / Experience Required

Applicants must be able to evidence previous experience within 2nd line support in a professional services environment - ideally gained from within a law firm or legal business. Other skills / experience must include:

  • Previous experience and a strong understanding of Microsoft Dynamics.
  • MS-SQL Server Query writing skills and an understanding of relational databases.
  • Good verbal & written communication skills, accompanied by excellent stakeholder management capabilities and a service oriented mindset.
  • Knowledge of practice case management systems such as Peppermint Technology would be highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge of document and case management systems such as iManage and SharePoint, would be highly advantageous.
