Implementation Manager (CCTV/Access Control/ Networks)

Our client, a leader in the communications sector for airports and rail, is seeking an experienced Implementation Manager to join their security transformation programme at Heathrow Airport. This is a contract role with a focus on networking, access control, and CCTV systems, integral to their technical support, project management, and engineering services.

• Overseeing the design and installation of passive IT infrastructure, including networks, associated assets, and connected devices such as common use terminals, displays, access control systems, and CCTV.
• Ensuring project delivery to time and budget on complex design projects.
• Managing the entire project lifecycle from tender to closeout, ensuring delivery to time, cost, and quality standards.
• Collaborating with diverse suppliers and handling various styles and problem-solving proactively.
• Providing high-level project leadership and technical support within the delivery team.

• Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
• Substantial experience in Telecoms or Networking support functions.
• Broad knowledge of specialised telecoms services in enterprise and service provider environments; airport services experience is advantageous.
• Experience in highly regulated industries such as railway stations, transportation hubs, MOD, or power installations that require high security and network systems.
• Specific knowledge of network products and suppliers is beneficial.
• Experience in LAN technology is essential.
• Experience in wireless technology and CCTV and Access Control systems is advantageous.
• At least two years of operational experience in networks or engineering departments.
• Formally educated to C&G, HNC, or A-level standard.
• Use of MS Project, MS Visio, MS Excel, and MS Word is essential; training on Réalis/Heathrow specific applications will be provided.
• Formal project management, network technology, or IT systems training is desirable but not essential.
