Senior Software Engineer

This Senior Fullstack Java Software Engineering role is highly competitive - you'd often be looking at a Principal role elsewhere for the expectations of this team.

That being said, you'll join an environment that is tailor-made to keep Software Engineers engaged and progressing through the ranks. While you may qualify for Principal elsewhere, here you'll be challenged against a very high bar, and supported to progress through Principal and Staff Engineering - unless you fancy an Engineering Manager path instead!

The role is hybrid between Oxford or London, 1 day on-site per week. We cannot sponsor visas on this position, so you'll need the full right to work in the UK to interview.

Here's what's needed:

• Experience in a Senior position - it may not look like a step up, but it likely will be!
• Core skills in Java / C#
• Skills in JavaScript ecosystem, ideally React
• Ownership of your deployment processes, and knowledge of AWS EC2*
• Responsibility for testing your own code*

* The wider team includes QA's and DevOps Engineers, but you won't be siloed from fully owning your work from ideation to production

From my experience, this roles fits someone with a start-up mindset. If you regularly step outside of your "comfort zone" (hopefully, your comfort zone is constantly stepped over!) and you actively seek ways to accelerate production, then you'll be in very good company.
