Role
General Description includes basic administering and internal expediting of documents and drawings for assigned deliverables a project. Deliverables include, technical documents, client document, project and supplier document processing, tracking, reporting, expediting and archiving. Able to communicate basic document control solutions and concepts to engineers and non-engineers.
- Handling of Project Engineering and Supplier documents, i.e. preparations for internal and/or external distribution and routing
- Registration, distribution and filing of Technical documents
- Checking and handling of outgoing document transmittals
- Expedite internal review of late comments
- Assisting in maintenance and/or closeout of project files
- Learning of current/future working methods and software applications
Training
- Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard
- Level 2 Functional skills in English and maths if required
- One to one with skills coach in workplace
The administration role may be a gateway to further career opportunities, such as management or senior support roles.
