Network Presentation and Maintenance Apprentice (35959)

Start your career with Metrolink, the largest light rail network in the UK! We’re hiring for a Network Presentation and Maintenance Apprentice. In this role you will provide general, routine and reactive maintenance to all areas of the network.

Role

Key Accountabilities Include:

  • Learn to develop a set of general maintenance skills
  • Will learn to apply structured techniques to common and non-routine problems
  • Learn the importance of disruption management and how to assist in reforming the service where necessary and appropriate
  • Assist in planning small works and project works
  • Learn to maintain tools and equipment and prepare routine equipment for each task
  • Updating Agility with reactive and planned maintenance tasks/work orders
  • Carry out repairs and reactive maintenance
  • Understand the importance of customer service
  • Record and report information accurately either internally or externally
  • Learn to effectively operate a range of mobile devices including phones, laptops, and tablets
