QA Engineer - SDET - Python - Pytest - Playwright - Hybrid - City
Our client an Insurance company is looking for a QA Engineer who is a Python expert to join their team as a permanent member of staff. Someone who can help push forward their journey towards automation in testing. They work in an agile product Squad/Pod set-up, so would require this experience.
Required Technical Abilities
- QA and Automation Expertise: Substantial hands-on experience in Quality Assurance and developing automated tests.
- Web Knowledge: Solid understanding of the structure and protocols of web applications (eg, HTML, CSS, JSON, XML, HTTP).
- Python Proficiency: Strong skills in Python and adaptability for learning new programming languages as needed.
- Automation Testing: Practical experience in crafting automated tests for both Front End and Back End (using libraries like Playwright, Selenium, Requests.py, Pytest).
- Automation Frameworks: Well-versed in designing and implementing test automation frameworks, design patterns, and best practices.
- Microservices and APIs: Familiarity with microservices and experience testing APIs (using tools like Postman or Insomnia).
- CI/CD Skills: Comfortable with continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines for test automation, using platforms such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
- Cloud Knowledge: Understanding of cloud environments, with hands-on exposure to a cloud platform, ideally Azure.
- Non-Functional Testing: Awareness of non-functional testing approaches, including performance, accessibility, and security testing.
- Containerization: Knowledgeable in container technologies and orchestration tools (eg, Docker, Kubernetes).

- Mentorship: Ability to guide and train team members in QA.
