Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join the expanding technology department of an award-winning financial services business, who have grown to become one of the key brands within their industry. The role will be project-focused, where you will be centrally involved in the delivery of all-manner of infrastructure solutions, predominantly within a Microsoft environment, and cover server, networking and end-user technologies.

Description

• As the Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will be part of a small, specialist team, reporting into an IT Manager, dedicated to infrastructure project work.
• This will cover all areas of infrastructure, including server and virtualisation projects, on-premise data centre and cloud migrations, networking, security, and backup and disaster recovery solution delivery.
• The business are consistently undergoing exciting acquisitions, so you will be part of a team that is responsible for the integral integration of external IT environments into the estate of the wider group.
• The role will come with the flexibility of hybrid working, with responsibilities split across home working and the Birmingham head office, but there will, on occasion, be requirements to travel for essential on-site project delivery work, which may be on a regional, national and international basis alongside the team.

Profile

As the successful candidate for the Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer position, you will be highly experienced at a project level in:

• Windows Server
• Azure and/or AWS
• Virtualisation
• Active Directory
• Office365
• Powershell
• Networking

Job Offer

• Starting salary of £50,000 - £60,000
