Applications Support Lead apprentice - Milbank LLP - London - £22k

The apprentice will join Milbank's London IT Team. The team work closely with IT colleagues based in the New York head office. This role will provide day-to-day helpdesk support alongside the London IT Team. As a member of the helpdesk team, they will often be the first point of contact for many of the helpdesk calls.

Role

  • To ensure that everyone working in the London office consistently receives high quality IT support services.
  • IT Helpdesk Support including resolving issues, troubleshooting, finding alternative solutions or escalating as appropriate to a team member or vendor.
  • Providing IT support to users in person and remotely, depending on their requirements.
  • When discussing resolutions or issues, explaining technical information to the end users in a way that is appropriate for their level of technical knowledge.
  • Logging all work completed, and calls received on the Helpdesk ticketing platform.
  • Coordinating the distribution of equipment, maintaining records of all equipment issued to the end user.
  • Alongside the AV team, provide AV support and cover in conference rooms.
  • For new joiners and leavers, following the on-boarding /off-boarding procedures including setup/removal of hardware/software and mobile devices upon arrival and departure.
  • Create and distribute security passes for new joiners.
  • Assisting new joiners on their first day with their first system login and set-up including printers, email signature, changing login password, mobile device and desk telephone.
  • Telecom Support including reassigning delegates and assist to resolve any end-user voicemail issues.
  • Support the team during all phases of problem diagnosis and resolution.
  • Participate in the evaluation, testing and quality assurance of new software applications and updates from training and end-user point of view.
  • Through on-the job training, develop knowledge and understanding of the Milbank desktop and mobile operating systems.
  • Effectively communicate London office needs to other IT members.
  • Help to maintain documentation for the Helpdesk tickets and/or Tip sheets, making sure they are always kept up to date and relevant.
  • Follow all IT Policies and Procedures.
  • Other duties as directed by the Service Delivery Manager or Head of IT.

Training

During this apprenticeship, you will follow a fully supported training programme with LearnTech, delivered through combined weekly remote classroom-based training, workplace assessment/training and online learning working towards completing the Level 4 Applications Support Lead standard qualification.
