Senior Delivery Programme Manager

2 year Fixed Term Contract

The Senior Delivery Programme Manager is part of our client's Technology Digital and Data team and supports one of our key Transformation Programmes.

This role is accountable and responsible for the digital workstreams and ensuring that the business meets its customers and regulatory requirements.

As well as this you will be responsible for the below:

The role will be responsible for leading specific transformational programmes of activity, that are critical for us to meet our ambition targets. The programmes will span across a number of products and value streams and will involve the leading and management of multiple solution technical delivery teams, creating sustainable business solutions and the desired outcomes.

  • You will be responsible for using the best practice methodologies for their programme and ensuring effective control over costs and resourcing enabling the delivery of business outcomes to ensure their requirements are being met and that we provide high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Key to the role is to manage the operational aspects of the delivery teams involved, ensuring risk, legal, security and other compliance requirements are met. You will also be taking responsibility for the quality assurance, governance and overall integrity of the key Digital delivery for the key Transformation programme.
  • The Senior Programme Delivery Manager will be accountable for managing dependencies, realising the objectives, key results and other value targets defined as part of the Programme and must have the ability to be adaptable to meet changing business environments.
  • Effective stakeholder management with regular interactions up to and including CxO level. They will hold strong relationships and collaborate closely with all relevant stakeholders and have experience partnering with third party vendors and delivery teams.

 

To be considered for this role, our client (the CIO) requires the following experience:

*** Energy, utility Pharma or finance sector experience (i.e. highly regulated industries)

  • Must have large-scale IT & Business Change programme experience  
  • Experience with business-driven change, business, enable change, transformational change, understanding the change journey in terms of processes and training
  • An understanding of engineering comprehension
  • Matrix management of teams up to circa 100 people
  • Extensive change/transformation experience with a proven track record in planning, executing, controlling and completing delivery phases and meeting Business value and outcomes.
  • Extensive experience in delivering digital programmes in a large, complex and distributed organisation, preferably in a regulated environment. Ideally with scheduling and budgeting experience of £20m+.
  • You will have a very strong leadership capability with extensive Project and Programme management
