Information Technology Manager
Mr Fothergill’s has been sowing the joy of gardening across the world with our impressive, high- quality seed ranges and equipment for over 44 years. Our products are found in most garden centres as well as big retailers and we also have a blossoming direct to consumer business. As IT Manager you will be responsible for the quality of service to end users across the business, working closely with our Head of IT to design and implement IT strategy, working closely with stakeholders across the organisation.
In this role you will get to:
- Contribute to IT strategy, identifying IT priorities and aligning systems with organizational goals
- Oversee business systems (e.g., ERP like Sage X3) and ensure compliance with security and legislation
- Manage Budget, track costs, and plan for future investments in technology
- Delivery an excellent service to colleagues and stakeholders; own the ticketing system, ensuring high standards for support requests and maintaining supplier relationships
- Develop project scopes, manage resources, and ensure timely delivery of IT projects while mitigating risks
- Remain hands-on with infrastructure implementation, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with licensing and asset management.
- Line manage of the IT Support Analyst conducting regular 1-2-1 meetings and providing clear objectives and feedback
We’re looking for people who have been successful in a similar role or who are ready to make a career move and step up into an IT Manager role. You will be adept in operating within a growth led organisation, contributing to IT strategy and be delivery focused to ensure internal customers and stakeholder receive an outstanding service. You will also demonstrate:
- Proficiency with Office 365, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory and knowledge of ERP (preferably Sage and/ or NetSuite)
- Solid networking skills
- A hands-on, pro-active approach with strong communication skills, able to relay technical information to non-technical colleagues
- Demonstrable ability to effective management of project and vendor relationships
- Experience in managing Risk and IT Governance
