Regional Business Change Manager ( South East Region )

Job summary

In this role, you will drive the effective rollout and adoption of the Federated Data Platform across NHS Trusts and Integrated Care Boards in your region. Acting as the key contact for Trust business change teams, you will oversee implementation, ensuring the platform is integrated into day-to-day workflows to enhance patient care, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.

The FDP simplifies data management by connecting systems across Trusts, improving coordination and removing unnecessary burdens for staff and patients. In your first year, you will focus on strengthening uptake and usage within organisations already using the FDP. From year two onwards, you will expand this work to new organisations, enabling them to realise the platform's full benefits.

Main duties of the job

  • Drive transformation across your region by leading the adoption and implementation of the Federated Data Platform, empowering Trusts and Integrated Care Boards to unlock the full potential of data-driven healthcare.
  • Establish and manage a dynamic network to share best practices, foster collaboration, and coordinate training, support, and communications across Trusts and ICBs.
  • Conduct comprehensive change impact assessments, identify areas for improvement, and ensure staff are fully prepared and confident in adopting new systems and processes.
  • Work closely with Trusts to embed the FDP into operational workflows, streamlining processes and delivering tangible improvements in patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with regional and local stakeholders, influencing at all levels to ensure smooth delivery and long-term success of business change initiatives.
  • Support organisations in achieving key milestones, ensuring changes are effectively embedded to realise the full benefits of improved data coordination and seamless healthcare delivery.

About us

NHS England's Data and Analytics Directorate is driving the transformation to put patients in control of their data, support clinicians, decision-makers, and researchers with real-time, high-quality data, and empower the NHS Data Community to leverage their skills for high-value opportunities. We pride ourselves on our dedication, creativity, and values-driven approach to improving decision-making across health and care, helping people live healthier, longer lives.

The NHS relies on data every day to manage patient care and plan services, but it is often stored in systems that don't communicate with each other, creating burdens for both patients and staff. The Federated Data Platform connects these systems, allowing each Trust and Integrated Care Board to manage their own customised version, enhancing data integration and care coordination.
