People Digital Programme Manager

Job summary

The objective of the People Digital Programme is to deliver a connected, seamless and consistent people digital experience that empowers our people and releases time for patient care. The programme will be driven by user experience, professionally led, shaped by our target operating model and be enabled digitally.

The People Digital Programme Manager is a pivotal role that will be responsible for carrying out business and systems analysis of complex business problems, make recommendations for potential solutions and implement agreed solutions within the Trust (Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust, Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust).

This is a collaborative recruitment campaign and the post holders will be employed within the respective Trusts.

The post holder will use extensive analytical skills.

Main duties of the job

People Digital

  • Organise and manage the completion of complex business analysis activities
  • Conduct current state analysis and documentation of the critical operational processes
  • Support operational and clinical staff to gather process information from their own areas that helps to understand how the business area operates.
  • Make recommendations and proposals of potential solutions and future service changes.
  • Where required, develop an understanding of the potential new processes that will be adopted.
  • Support the development of documents to describe ways of working, interpreting complex facts for the benefit of staff.
  • Identify potential digital solutions to support the workforce programmes
  • Research and engage with potential providers of solutions developing clear specifications of requirements
  • Evaluation of potential solutions, quotes and deliverables to select partners for work
  • Evaluate digital interventions ensuring lessons learned for future development
  • Manage provider delivery against specifications escalating issues as required

Job responsibilities

Communication

  • Ensure that the People Digital vision and priorities are communicated effectively internally and externally. This will involve communicating sensitive and contentious messages requiring the use of highly developed negotiating and communication skills.
  • Conveys highly contentious and sensitive information around service change and integration linked to assurance and programme management roles.
  • Deliver presentations to a range of audiences including senior external and internal audiences.
  • Manages both internal and external communications with sensitivity and ensures inclusivity

Analytical and Judgement Skills

  • Analyses complex performance and outcome data relating to the programme
  • Collates and interpret national, regional and local service data to inform change strategies, providing benchmark data and implement appropriate actions and policies to meet project objectives.
  • This will require the analysis and interpretation of highly complex information and the ability to translate strategic information to operational deliverables, linked to the delivery of the health and care integration priorities.

Planning and Organisational Skills

  • Responsible for supporting the People Digital SRO and associated directorate in the development, delivery and implementation of the People Digital agenda across BLMK.
  • Provides analytical support and input to all workstreams as required.

Person Specification

Education

Essential
  • oEducated to degree level or equivalent in relevant area i.e HR, Digital
  • oAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel - with the ability to utilise complex formulas (e.g. SUMIFS, XLOOKUP, Dynamic Array Formulas), functions and visualisation tools (e.g. PivotTables, Charts).
Desirable
  • CIPD

Experience

Essential
  • oExperience of working within a People function and an understanding of the range of services provided oKnowledge of the people digital purpose oDemonstrable experience within a healthcare setting oAbility to collate and disseminate complex information and delivering task to tight deadlines oWide-ranging experience of leading major change initiatives through to successful delivery, relating to quality, cost and timescales. oExperience of managing a range of projects, with digital experience desirable
