Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, dynamic, and proactive Delivery Partner to work within the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Integrated Care Board (CPICB) Planned Care Team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This role would suit somebody with considerable project management experience, with a background in delivering tangible service and quality improvement within the health and care environment who is keen to use their expertise to positively impact and influence the delivery of public services to improve the health and wellbeing of our local population.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will join the Planned Care Team at an exciting time as we work with the wider C+P Integrated Care System (and beyond) to provide high-quality services for our population. The successful candidate will be a vital voice and stakeholder in CPICS to lead, promote and deliver service improvement and transformation across the planned care portfolio.

The portfolio of work includes service improvement initiatives across elective care, cancer, theatres and diagnostics - working with colleagues across the health and care landscape to inform and enact transformational change. As such, this role will suit someone used to working to tight deadlines as part of a small, supportive team and effective team leading patient focused outcomes and improvement based upon clinical and operational best practice.

The post holder will undertake performance oversight and assurance alongside system multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure delivery/improvement plans (both short and long term) are enacted and reported through our Directorate Project Management Office (PMO) function, with outcomes of service improvements monitored, delivered, and where risks to success identified - escalated and mitigated against.

Job responsibilities

The role of Delivery Partner is crucial to the delivery of the ICS objectives, with responsibility for building effective system relationships to achieve national and local operational priorities. A system convener, the post holder will have responsibility for a performance portfolio across the ICS and work closely with clinical, operational and leadership teams across organisations to develop and implement integrated strategies to improve outcomes for our population.

Person Specification

Experience

Essential
  • Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area.
  • Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to masters level equivalent
  • Evidence of post qualifying and continuing professional development
  • Must have an understanding of the background to and aims of current healthcare policy and appreciate the implications of this on engagement
  • Should have an appreciation of the relationship between the Department of Health, NHS England and individual provider and commissioning organisations
  • Experience of being responsible for a budget, involved in budget setting and working knowledge of financial processes
  • Member of relevant professional body
