Senior Software Engineer

Are you an experienced Senior Software Engineer looking to contribute to high-level motorsport projects? Do you have experience in the top flights of motorsport? Then we want to hear from you.
 
You will be responsible for the continuous delivery of in-house software, working closely with the Performance Group to prioritise requirements and ensure the agile delivery of high-quality software across the organisation.
 
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing modern database, service layer, and client application solutions. You will also mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of our software engineering capabilities.
 
Your responsibilities as a Senior Software Engineer:
 

• Utilise a range of .Net technologies to develop and deliver modern database, service layer, and client application solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and provide coaching to other members of the software team.
• Prioritise requirements in collaboration with the Head of Software Engineering and ensure timely project delivery.
• Work with other software engineers to resolve challenges and potential delays, ensuring projects meet specifications.
• Mentor and contribute to the development of engineers within the Software Group.
• Promote teamwork and effective communication to develop strong working relationships across all departments.

 
Your current experience which will help you as a Senior Software Engineer:
 

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another STEM field with substantial software development experience.
• Prior experience in high-level international motorsport.
• Experience developing complex data management and database storage solutions.
• Strong technical background in modern software engineering techniques.
• Proficiency in developing full-stack solutions from database to end-user application, using .Net technologies.
• Experience with C#, .NET, WPF, and SQL.
• Familiarity with time series databases, Azure DevOps, Git, and McLaren Applied software solutions.
