Data Analyst (Process Improvement)

I'm looking for a Power BI and data analytics enthusiast to join a business services organisation in Central London - this is a hybrid role, requiring 2-3 days per week in the office on average.

This is a pivotal role for this business, where you'll be aligned to one of their major financial services clients as the dedicated "data" person, and will proactively harness untapped data in the client's network to inform decision-making, ensure the delivery of exceptional services to the client, and drive operational efficiency.

This will involve identifying data sources, implementing data capture and storage methodologies, and automating data pipelines from these various sources. You will be responsible for developing regular automated and ad-hoc Power BI reports to provide invaluable insight to management, on how they may reduce costs and improve operational efficiency. This will involve providing training and support to end users on effectively using Power BI, and ultimately aiming to drive data literacy.

This is a truly varied role, where you'll get involved in a range of projects and business processes, including working on budgeting and profit & loss analysis to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency. You will also have the opportunity to look into leveraging AI and ML to further optimise data analysis and drive innovation. You will constantly look for opportunities for improvement, including automating processes wherever possible.

This role would be well-suited to a really proactive individual who is always seeking out opportunities for improvement, using their initiative, and is truly passionate about the value that data analytics can bring to an organisation!

Requirements:

  • Experience designing & developing Power BI solutions with use of DAX and Power Query
  • Experience automating business processes, with experience in Power Automate being highly beneficial
  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Financial acumen - experience working on P&L (profit & loss) analysis and budget preparation would be beneficial but not essential
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, at all levels

Benefits:

  • Salary up to £65,000 depending on experience
  • Pension - 5% employer and 3% employee contribution
  • 25 days annual leave
  • 2 paid volunteering days per year
  • Discretionary performance-related bonus

Please Note: This is role for UK residents only. This role does not offer Sponsorship. You must have the right to work in the UK with no restrictions. Some of our roles may be subject to successful background checks including a DBS and Credit Check.
