Lead Data Scientist - Surrey - £75,000

I am working with a global recognisable organisation who are looking for a Lead Data Scientist to join their advanced analytics function. This industry leader has invested heavily into this new team and are now looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join them and take the lead on a number of exciting projects.

You will join a close-knit supportive team and you will have the opportunity to further develop your knowledge through exposure to innovative technologies and in-depth training and working closely with like-minded colleagues. You will be responsible for championing the AI and ML opportunities to non-technical stakeholders and taking an active role in the promotion of advanced analytics across the business.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for some of the following areas.

  • Lead on data-driven solutions using complex datasets and advanced analytical techniques.
  • Extract meaning from data and identify opportunities for improve decision making across the business.
  • Work with stakeholders, gathering their requirements to deliver tailored reports based on their needs.
  • Analyse large data sets of both quantitative and qualitative data whilst developing both statistical learning models and complex predictive models.

This is a hybrid role where you will work from the organisation's office in Surrey three times per week, with the other 2 days spent working remotely. This is a full-time, permanent position paying up to £75,000 per annum depending on experience. To be successful in this role you will have.

  • Experience working as a Data Scientist
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML and advanced analytics techniques
  • Experience applying statistical modelling algorithms
  • Experience with languages such as R, Python and SQL to be able to manipulate data and deliver insights.
  • Experience working within a cloud environment (Azure environment would be beneficial)
