Site & Project Manager

• Background

  North provides the University of Birmingham with delivery, maintenance, and ad hoc repair services supporting their Gallagher Access Control Solution covering both main campus and student accommodation. The solution comprises 869 door controllers, 2018 hardwired doors, 6160 Aperio wireless doors, managed from 62 workstations, and there are currently 99,441 access card holders.

  This is a hybrid role covering commissioning engineering, project management, and job management to meet the needs of the client and allow flexibility to support as required.

• Operational

Client liaison and job management/prioritisation – Be the single point of contact for the University and manage all works (service & project) based on customer priority and requirement.

Assist Service with job prioritisation – In line with overall management of jobs, assist service in ensuring tickets are attended to according to SLA and customer need.

Management

Daily management of the site-based engineers – Provide support and works management for the engineers ensuring they have the required tools and materials to complete jobs and will make decisions on the schedule and priority of all works. Assist with people management.

Certifications/Qualifications

• Gallagher certification essential.
• Genetec certification an advantage.
• DBS clearance (for working in public sector environments).
• Full UK driving licence.

Experience:

• Previous experience in a customer facing role or equivalent.
• 3+ years’ experience of project management or coordination.
• 3+ years’ experience with Enterprise Grade Access Control, ideally Gallagher, plus Genetec, Avigilon, Lenel.
• 3+ years’ experience with Enterprise Grade VMS systems such as Milestone, Genetec, IndigoVision, Pelco, Avigilon.
• Experience in integrating security systems into one single pane of glass management an advantage.
• Experience leading a small team preferred.

• Good administration skills with sound working knowledge of business systems and mainstream applications e.g., Microsoft Office 365.
• Excellent team player and relationship builder.
• A results-orientated ethos, able to apply knowledge and skills in the pursuit of business objectives.
• Sound commercial awareness and ability to manage project budgets and achieve on time delivery to high standards of quality.
