Main duties of the job

Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload within different teams. Be highly proficient in the use of all equipment within scope of practice. Work with leading practitioners and cutting-edge practices, equipment and facilities Have basic skills in general x-ray Supervise and develop junior colleagues To work within IRMER and own scope of practice, in accordance with the code of conduct set out by the HCPC. To participate in on call (must be able to attend site within one hour of call activation) To participate in departmental audits and Quality Assurance programme. To provide support to the Clinical Lead Radiographers. Ensure equipment is safe and fir for purpose, reporting and informing clinical leads of any faults. Competency in IV cannulation is essential (for CT/MRI trained radiographers) To provide input to the review, update and implementation of departmental policy and procedural changes. To comply with all Nuffield Health policies and procedures. To ensure all records are maintained in line with statutory and organisational requirements.

As a senior Cath lab Rotational Radiographer at St Barts, Nuffield Health, the opportunities to develop yourself, and the services we provide are abundant. In addition to being highly skilled in Cath lab, you will also be experienced in a another modality such as CT, MRI, or Mammography. As a flagship cardiac hospital, previous cardiac experience in CT and/or MRI is highly desirable as well as experience with Siemens equipment. As a Senior Rotational Radiographer, you will:

  • Have a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent), a postgraduate qualification and/or high levels of technical knowledge.
