IT Apprentice (One Care IT)

The IT apprentice will be immediately (with supervision and support) placed in a customer-facing role, necessitating both confidence and competence.

Role

No skills or experience are required, bar a passion for IT, trustworthiness, and a thirst to learn. Comprehensive on-site training will be provided. If the candidate were local, it would help all parties.

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:

  • Configuration & maintenance of PCs, servers and other IT-related equipment
  • Ensuring software and hardware are kept up to date and are reliable and appropriate
  • Maintaining and controlling the itinerary of the client’s devices
  • Maintaining system logs of IT-related documentation throughout the company
  • Assisting clients at their sites
  • Answering calls as per a Help Desk
  • Providing remote support and analysis
  • Administrative tasks as required
  • Undertake any other responsibilities that may be necessary from time to time, which are commensurate with the level of this appointment

Training

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, with training in how to:

  • Efficiently operate and control your ICT infrastructure – physical or virtual hardware, software, network services and data storage.
  • Use infrastructure management tools to automate the provisioning, testing, deployment and monitoring of infrastructure components.
  • Prioritise systems support tasks and monitor and maintaining system performance
  • Maintain regulatory, legal and professional standards.
  • Support the information systems needs for your business.
