We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Data Coordinator to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring that our data management practices are accurate, efficient and compliant with relevant regulations. This role is an opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of young people in Haringey by ensuring that Open Door's data management practices are robust and reliable, giving us the metrics that we need. The Data Coordinator will contribute significantly to the overall effectiveness of our data system, in particular auditing the mapping of Open Doors data systems to coordinate data for the newly funded Impact Evaluation project.
Open Door seeks to gain a deeper understanding of its impact on young people's mental health by analysing data from individuals supported during 2023/24 and 2024/25. We have existing comprehensive and robust data at Open Door, including clinical outcome measures, service user feedback, demographic data and more, and are now seeking to analyse this large dataset to evaluate and improve our services. We are seeking to better understand who benefits the most from our services and identify those for whom our impact is less significant.
This is an exciting time to join Open Door. The candidate will be part of forming and developing a new, small in-house data and evaluation team, to undertake this evaluation of our clinical service.
Main duties of the job
Data Management
Work closely with the Senior Research Analyst, Administrative Team and Head of Data to accurately record and manage client and operational data. Ensure timely updates and maintenance across relevant systems
Data Audit
Manage the mapping of Open Doors data systems auditing to ensure data accuracy. Conduct regular checks to ensure data consistency, identifying and correcting any discrepancies. Maintain alignment with Open Doors standards and ensure consistency across all systems and reports.
Data Retrieval & Reporting
Assist in retrieving and tracking data for comprehensive reports, including those related to the Impact and Evaluation project. Collaborate with team members to ensure data is completed, accurate and readily accessible for both internal and external reporting purposes.
Support for Reporting
Provide crucial support to the Senior Research Analyst, Head of Data and Senior Clinical Team, by assisting with data analysis, interrogation, and report preparation. Ensure data is presented clearly and effectively.
Documentation
Develop the data dictionary, manual and protocols, in discussion with the Senior Research Analyst, Clinical Team and Head of Data. Document all changes made to data, according to decision made by senior management, and create a clear record of changes made.
About us
Open Door is a Young Peoples mental health charity, that has been based in the London Borough of Haringey for 48 years. It aims is to improve the mental health and life-chances of young people in Haringey, by providing access to effective psychotherapy and counselling.
We provide an Open Door to free, high quality psychological therapy to 12-24 year-olds delivered by experienced and highly trained clinicians. Open Door also supports parents and carers, struggling with the issues their children face. We aim for access to our service to be as simple as possible and over half of those we support, self-refer.
Many young people who come to us are experiencing significant mental health difficulties and have faced barriers to statutory services,
Open Door delivers evidence informed practice and has been commended for our ambitious approach to outcome driven care. We have recently been shortlisted for a Health Service Journal (HSJ) Award for our work improving the mental health of young people, who have been impacted by inequality, in Haringey.
Open Door is community embedded, integrated into the local mental health infrastructure, commissioned by the NHS.We have a strategic voice which is used to advocate for young peoples mental health and influence practice. Last year we supported nearly 900 young people, parents and carers and offered over 9000 appointments.

Location: Hybrid, including at least 1 day a week in office (Crouch End, N8)

Person Specification
Skills, Competencies and Personal Characteristics
- Good level of IT literacy and in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to coordinate and manage multiple data-related tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong skills in documenting processes and maintaining data records.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members, departments, and external partners.
- Ability to identify and resolve data-related issues or discrepancies.
- Willingness to implement new processes or tools to improve data management efficiency.
- Commitment to maintaining data confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
- Flexibility to adapt to new technologies, processes, and changing data requirements
- Keep up-to-date with policies and documentation, amending process when needed to maintain accuracy and compliance with Open Doors data protection policy.
- A willingness to learn, and enthusiasm for keeping up with industry trends and best practices in data management.
- The position requires manual data entry and data cleansing tasks, so capacity and willingness for attention to detail over time is essential.

Qualifications
- A bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field
- A degree or other training in computer science, information technology, data science, social science, health or psychology or related field
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Microsoft Certified Data Analyst)
Experience
- Previous experience in data management, data analysis, quantitative research or a related field.
- Experience managing or coordinating projects, especially those involving data in the health or charity sectors.
