Application Management Analyst

Our leading Douglas-based Finance Sector Client is expanding its Technology Team as they progress an ambitious transformation programme. As the evolution continues, they now require an experienced Application Management Analyst.

As part of the IT Service team, the Application Support Analyst is responsible for support, maintenance and administration of some of the key applications and services, bringing their experience to ensure that their colleagues in the company's brands and cross-functional teams' needs are met through:

  • Performing administrative tasks and management activity within applications to ensure that systems remain stable, functional, current and fit-for-purpose
  • Working with stakeholders across Technology to handle requests, resolve incidents and deploy changes on the applications within scope
  • Providing out of hours support for the applications, scheduled batch and other tasks on a rota basis
  • Collaborating with engineering and infrastructure colleagues to identify management and administrative tasks that are appropriate to handle within the team
  • Working with technical vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure the business is maximising realised value from the applications
  • Working with IT Service colleagues to improve knowledge of applications and drive up customer satisfaction through increasing first-time-fix rates
  • Working with change and delivery colleagues to support projects and releases as appropriate

The ideal candidate for the role of Application Management Analyst will have:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Objects, SSIS, SSAS, T-SQL and SSRS is essential
  • Previous experience of Java, PowerBI, PowerCube, Microsoft Azure fundamentals & database, and API Management would be beneficial
  • Experience of Elastic, Grafana, Microsoft Access and IIS extremely beneficial
  • Support of Microsoft Office / Office 365 / Microsoft 365 in an enterprise management setting is essential
  • A proactive individual, self-motivated, and able to use own initiative
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills, with the ability to express technical concepts in Business English to non-technical audiences
  • The ability to work under pressure and maintaining focus and accuracy is a necessity for this role
  • A good problem solver who can analyse situations and devise approaches to validate and resolve them through logical thinking
  • Proven disciplined and consistent analytic approach and mindset
  • The ability to work with stakeholders at different levels of seniority, multiple different suppliers and geographies
  • Experience working with outsourced technical landscapes and financial services desirable
