The Role of Quality Engineer:
As a Quality Engineer with expertise in manufacturing and electronics, you will play a critical role in ensuring our electronic products meet rigorous quality standards. You will be responsible for conducting inspections, implementing quality control processes, and driving continuous improvements across all departments.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with engineering, dispatch, and supply chain teams to identify and resolve quality issues, ensuring our products meet both customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities of the new Quality Engineer:
- Perform quality inspections and testing on electronic components and products.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and ensure they are adhered to throughout the production process.
- Investigate and troubleshoot product non-conformances, working with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and corrective actions.
- Support the development and maintenance of ISO 9001 and other relevant quality certifications.
- Participate in product reviews, audits, and process improvements to enhance product reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming components meet quality specifications.
- Prepare and maintain detailed quality documentation, including reports, certifications, and corrective action records.
- Ensure products comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve product quality.
What We're Looking for from our new Quality Engineer:
- Proven experience in a quality engineering role, ideally within the electronics or manufacturing sector.
- Strong understanding of electronic components, circuits, and systems.
- Knowledge of ISO9001 and other relevant quality management standards (AS9120).
- Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies such as 5Y, 8D, FMEA, and Lean manufacturing techniques.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyse data and trends.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for improving processes and delivering top-quality products and service.
