Team Administrator - South Oxfordshire CAMHS

Job summary

We are looking to recruit a new Team Administrator to provide a highly valued service to the clinical team in South Oxfordshire Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).

We are a team who support Children and Young People & their families with moderate to severe mental health presentations. We are a multi-disciplinary team who rely upon robust administrative support to run a safe and caring service to the families of Oxfordshire.

This role is an ideal opportunity for you, if you have experience of working in an administrative or secretarial role, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for someone who has excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, along with effective IT skills, a good standard of administrative skills and ability to manage competing priorities within a busy team setting.

We'll need you to work effectively as a part of the team, but also have the ability to work to your own initiative with good understanding of information security & confidentiality.

This is a varied role, and you will play a vital role within the team, being first point of contact for our patients. You will also work closely with our Team to provide administrative help for the clinicians.

Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Managing an admin inbox, including formatting letters, helping clinicians with administrative tasks etc
  • Managing consultant diary's, as well as helping with administrative tasks for them and managing a spreadsheet
  • Reception cover
  • Referrals management, including use of spreadsheets
  • Answering telephone and responding to emails from parents/carers and professionals from external inbox
  • Helping with up keep of the building such as IT equipment, reporting of jobs, stationary etc
  • Covering of other administrative staff when on leave

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential
  • Higher Education qualification (i.e. A-Level/NVQ 3 standard) or extensive equivalent/previous experience in an Administration role
  • GCSE English and Maths

Knowledge

Essential
  • Good all-round IT knowledge
Desirable
  • Understanding of Data Protection Act

Further Training/Job Related skills

Essential
  • Able to manage own workload
  • Able to work independently and with limited supervision
  • Able to work effectively under pressure/cope with distractions
  • Proficient with MS-Office, in particular Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams

Experience

  • Relevant experience of working in an office environment as an administrator
