Apprentice Orthotic Technician

Vacancy for Apprentice Orthotic Technicians to join our Newcastle Manufacturing team (near Walkergate Metro & Benfield Road bus). You will be trained in the manufacture of hand-made medical devices, such as insoles, shoes, braces, and adaptions for wheelchairs. Duties : manufacture of insoles/orthotics and the administration of insoles/orthotics.

Peacocks Medical Group manufactures orthoses and custom-made footwear from our Newcastle upon Tyne facility to clients across the UK. We are a key partner across several NHS Trusts, with service contracts spread from the South Coast to the North East. 

We are currently recruiting for Apprentice Orthotic Technicians to join our Newcastle Manufacturing team (located close to Walkergate Metro & Benfield Road bus routes).  

In this role you will be trained in the manufacture of hand-made medical devices, such as insoles, shoes, braces, and adaptions for wheelchairs.

This is not a ‘typical’ manufacturing environment, and you will be expected to learn several traditional craft-based techniques using hand tools, so manual dexterity is preferable.

Main duties of the role:

·       Manufacture of Insoles/Orthotics

·       Administration of Insoles/Orthotics

·       Potential 3D Designing on CADCAM

·       Stock Control
