3x Apprentice Factory Engineer - Level 3
Prism powers focus on the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of industry-leading electrical switchgear, critical power systems and power monitoring solutions provides a complete package of power system technologies to a principally blue-chip client base from its extensive technical portfolio of products and services.
Role
Main duties :
- Will learn how to; understand mechanical, electrical, electronic, fluid power and process control principles in mechatronics. Learn how equipment is being maintained functions and operating parameters.
- Will focus on the mechanical and electrical manufacturing - from our factory in Watford and will include college day release.
- Will learn and develop new skills whilst contributing to the ongoing success of the business, as we will encourage a 'can-do' attitude and will expect a willingess to learn.
- Whilst the role is primarily factory based, where sufficient aptitude is shown experience of working on site and across other disciplines within the business will also be provided.
Training
Apprentices will be required to attend college at least x1 day per week either at Uxbridge, Harrow or Hayes Campus completing necessary mandatory training and units associated with the apprenticeship.
The apprentice will be required to complete:
- Work towards gaining a full Level 3 Engineering Technician qualification.
- Employment Rights and Responsibilities.
- Skills, Knowledge, and Behaviours.
- Standard and End Point Assessment.
- Functional Skills in English, Maths, and ICT (if required).
Other training will be provided by the employer as required to enable the fulfilment of the job role.
All apprentices will be required to achieve as a minimum:
- An employer approved Level 2 Foundation Competence qualification
- An employer approved Level 3 Development Competence qualification
- An employer approved Level 3 Development Technical Knowledge qualification
- Potential employment within the business as a mechanical/electrical Engineer.
