Business Administrator Apprentice

Pyramid Architectural Design are looking for a dedicated apprentice to join there team- successful candidate will work towards a level 3 business administration apprenticeship

Role

  • The apprentice will use multiple IT packages relevant to Pyramid Architectural Design to write letters, emails, create proposals, and perform financial processes. This includes finance packages used for invoicing customers.
  • The apprentice will record and analyse data, update and review databases, as required.
  • The apprentice will produce accurate records and documents including emails, letters, reports and drafting correspondence.
  • The apprentice will write reports for the organisation, maintaining records and files and must handle confidential information in accordance with our organisation policies.
  • The apprentice must exercise proactivity and good judgement. They will make effective decisions based on sound reasoning and should be able to deal with challenges in a mature way.
  • The apprentice will seek advice off more experienced team members when appropriate.
  • The apprentice will develop working relationships with both internal staff and external customers as part of this role.
  • The apprentice will demonstrate the ability to influence and challenge appropriately and will deal with customer feedback, both positive and negative. They will apply problem-solving skills to resolve challenging or complex complaints and will be a key point of contact for addressing issues.
  • The apprentice will develop good communication skills, both face-to-face, on the telephone, or in writing.
  • The apprentice will be required to identify the most appropriate channels to communicate effectively and will gain confidence throughout the apprenticeship with their communications, seeking appropriate approval and developing appropriate responsibility.
  • The apprentice will understand and apply social media solutions appropriately, liaising with the Social Media team. They will have the ability to answer questions from inside and outside of the organisation, representing the organisation or department.
  • The apprentice will complete all tasks to a high standard and will demonstrate the necessary level of expertise required to complete tasks; applying themselves to continuously improve their work.
  • The apprentice will gain in confidence to make suggestions for improvements.
  • The apprentice will organise meetings and events, taking minutes during meetings and creating action logs as appropriate. They will be responsible for logistics and will make (& book) travel arrangements and accommodation for the business.
  • The apprentice will be responsible for project management & will apply project management principles and tools to scope, plan, monitor and reports to ensure the project is successfully delivered.
  • The apprentice will look at improvements within the business and will be responsible for the project and for coaching others within the business, motivating and sharing best practice. This is to develop others knowledge and skills, whist checking, reviewing and taking responsibility for team performance.
  • The apprentice will understand & administer the companies billing and will process invoices and purchase orders. They will produce accurate records of documents for payments.

  • Day release at Middlesbrough College
  • Working towards Level 3 Business Administration Standard qualification
