Job Title: Technical Business Analyst

Location: Warwick

Contract Length: 6 months

Responsibilities:

Our client, a leading company in the Utilities industry, is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join their team. As a Technical Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the enhancement of their Identity and Access Management (IDAM) capability. You will work across IDAM and Privileged Access Management (PAM) to assess business needs, convert them into requirements and processes, and produce the necessary documents for the development and implementation of solutions.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Collect, understand, and transmit business requirements, following the MoSCoW methodology and translating them into functional specifications and detailed test plans.
  • Analyse requirements, considering business and operations areas, and provide impact assessments for change proposals.
  • Lead discovery activities, such as user access reviews or privileged account onboarding.
  • Provide documented proof of test results for business sign-off.
  • Analyse and improve existing business processes or create new ones.
  • Communicate and simplify business processes to ensure buy-in from stakeholders.
  • Work with Operations and engineers to ensure understanding of processes.
  • Conduct business process modelling and generate applicable scenarios.
  • Facilitate meetings with internal and external stakeholders, representing the organisation's position and producing supporting documentation.
  • Present data in various forms, tailored to the audience, and provide necessary narrative.
  • Identify and report risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Provide business analysis support to non-business analysis resources.
  • Act as Client Lead on workstreams, typically managed by Information Technology.

Knowledge, Experience, and Technical Know-How:

  • Experience working on Identity and Access Management programmes or equivalent security projects.
  • Expertise in Technical Business Analysis, including the application of techniques, methods, and tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of business modelling techniques and experience in obtaining input from senior managers.
  • Experience in data modelling techniques and establishing data structures.
  • Proficiency in creating requirements, processes, and specifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in stakeholder relationship management and consultancy.
  • Working knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity regulations and frameworks, such as NIS Regulations or ISA/IEC 62443.
  • Relevant business analysis qualification, such as BCS ISEB Diploma.
  • Certification in a scaled agile framework, such as SAFe.
