Job summary

Haven Heath have an exciting opportunity for an administrator to join our busy practice support team, on a part-time basis for 20-25 hours per week working Monday-Friday. This can be negotiated. Flexibility is crucial to accommodate training, holidays and occasional sickness. The candidate must have a primary care background and previous applicants need not apply.

Main duties of the job

We are currently looking for an experienced medical administrator working within healthcare to join our friendly, supportive and professional team. As part of the role, you will be required to have excellent IT skills, be able to work in a fast paced environment and work well under pressure. You will need to be enthusiastic and self-motivated with a high level of attention to detail.

You will be expected to work as a team but also using your own initiative. Ideally, we are looking for someone who has experience with SystmOne as you will be adding rota's to the clinical system, as well as having a good understanding of medical knowledge to be able to process private income and contractual claims for a PMS practice.

Experience

Essential
  • The right individual will be able to process incoming claims for medical information from private companies i.e. insurance companies, DVLA, or patient requests.
  • You will also be able to communicate with patients clearly and concisely, manage both online access requests and subject access requests in a timely manner as well as managing/adding rotas onto the clinical system
Desirable
  • Haven Health makes use of SystmOne so previous experience of working with this system would be ideal although training would be given in all aspects of the role.
