Reassured Ltd is the largest non-advised life insurance intermediary in the UK with established locations in Basingstoke, Portsmouth, Southampton, Manchester, Bristol, Bournemouth and Chester.

We launched our new Advised business offering in 2021 and continue to grow our sales and support teams across the entire business this year. We arrange over 15,000 new customer life insurance policies per month with leading sales conversions and customer satisfaction metrics. The business is outbound, B2C sales from internet generated customer enquiries.

About the role

The role will involve a wide variety of duties such as finding/testing technical solutions; designing and coding the solution, while also supporting the test team and infrastructure team for go live.

As part of the Development team, the Software Engineers will work on many exciting new tech as we migrate to Azure and be part of a fun, relaxed and customer focussed team. Core to our business is a CRM system that we think is leading the Insurance Brokerage industry. It is based on PHP and MySQL, as the business grows the functions to support the CRM now require inquisitive, diligent and committed people to grow our team.

Qualifications

Essential Skills & Experience

• Software development using the LEMP stack (PHP 7+)
• Good understanding of OOP principles
• Good knowledge of JavaScript
• Test Driven Development / Unit testing
• MVC frameworks (CakePHP / Laravel / Lumen) ideally a couple of years
• Microservices architecture / Containers (Docker)
• Version control systems GIT (Github / Gitlab)
• Responsive design and mobile layouts
• Working with medium to large datasets (Mysql / Redis)

Desirable Experience

• RabbitMQ

• Cypress Automated Testing
