Digital Training Administrator
Job summary
The Digital Training team manages and delivers training of IT systems throughout the NHS in Cornwall. This includes both national and local system applications.
You will help provide a welcoming and professional administrative service to the Cornwall IT Services Training Department and provide a single point of communication for the digital training team when they are out of their offices or otherwise unavailable.
Provide a full range of administrative duties for the Digital Training Manager and Digital Training team.
This is a 14 month fixed term position. Secondments for internal candidates may be considered but would need approval from senior management.
Unfortunately due to budgetary constraints we are unable to support visa sponsorship for this role.
Main duties of the job
As a Digital Training Administrator you will plan and assist in co-ordinating diaries with training delivery at various Trust locations, book training venues, and liaise with other services to negotiate the use of facilities.
You will be motivated, flexible and will enjoy working in a fast-paced and challenging environment. It is essential that you are a team player and have excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
This post is full-time working 37.5 hours per week. Flexible working may be considered.

Job responsibilities
It is the responsibility of the post-holder to use their skills, experience and subject matter expertise to support the the Digital Training Team
Contribute to the smooth running of the digital teams functions and processes. This will include management of the team email inbox, and where appropriate, determine urgency and importance and highlight issues as necessary to the manager or other team members.
Be a first point of contact for digital training team enquiries and the key point of contact for the generic email inbox requiring clear communication and liaison skills.
Respond proactively and with tact and sensitivity to queries from staff with concerns or issues regarding the roll out of the training programme.
Update the Training Admin System (TAS) with the training programme.
Attend meetings as requested to support comprehensive, accurate minute taking and recording actions. Follow up the progress of actions arising and maintain action logs.
Complete any other administrative tasks including meeting management i.e., agendas and materials, room bookings and diary management that are required to support the team in a timely manner.
Help the team, in an administrative capacity, to develop and roll out the training programme.
Prepare presentational material; assist with the collation of information for training activity reports and production of documents.
Support the engendering of enthusiasm for the benefits of the clinical IT programmes when responding to enquiries.
Provide administrative support to the training team and manager in delivering the training programme.

- NHS Trust Mandatory Training
Qualifications
- GCSE English and Maths minimum grade C or equivalent
- NVQ3 Business Administration or equivalent practical experience demonstrated
Experience
- Strong non-clinical Microsoft IT Skills including excel and power-point with advanced typing skills.
- Experience working in a medium / large-scale provider service-oriented organisation
- Practical knowledge and experience of working in a busy office environment.
Practical and intellectual skills
- Ability to take minutes and transcribing them to a high standard
- A calm and organised approach
- Self-motivated and ability to work without supervision, within established procedures to objectives, referring to manager as necessary.

Physical Reuirements
- Use of IT equipment and digital work screens on a daily basis often for prolonged periods of time with regular breaks.
