Location: Bristol or Bridgwater offices with regular site visits required and hybrid working arrangements available - 2 days on site

£3200.00pd PAYE (+36 days holiday) or Up to £515.00pd via approved Umbrella

The Service Transition Lead is a leader and champion, responsible for the design, operation and continuous improvement for the Service Design Capability. Responsible for the effective and efficient operation of Service Design. The Service Transition Lead is responsible for providing management and Intelligent Customer oversight for HPC Business Application ensuring services are compliant, cost effective and aligned to business needs. Works with process and technical subject matter experts and practitioners across all functional areas and suppliers to develop and drive the process strategy, design, and operation. Identifies, proposes, and drives improvement opportunities through securing mandate & sponsorship. Ensures that process activity is embedded throughout the integrated ecosystem, including creating and managing communications to the business and stakeholder. Facilitates knowledge sharing and skills development across functions and directorates and contributes or hosts collaboration forums. Primary point of contact for any audits of the process whether regulatory, external, or internal. Acts as the escalation point for capability risks and issues and manages their mitigation and/or resolutions. Escalates to the capability owner as appropriate.

  • Responsible for ensuring safe, effective design and transition of new systems and services being introduced to HPC & SZC.
  • Responsible for designing and transitioning new systems and services for both HPC & SZC projects. Ensuring all support documentation is captured, reviewed and approved.
  • Ensuring all support documents are kept up to date, periodical reviews and amendments of existing documents where required.; updating contact information, support teams and SLA's etc.
  • Good understanding of the large scale IT Operation
  • Solid understanding of the operational facets of Service Design
  • Demonstrable record of operational delivery
  • Excellent and demonstrable written skills and numeric competency
  • Proven analytical and problem solving
