Aircraft Component Engineer Apprenticeship

Your working week will consist of 4 days in the workplace and 1 day at college.

The course consists of the following mandatory qualifications:

• Level 2 Diploma in Aerospace and Aviation Engineering (Foundation Competence)

After a further period of skills and technical knowledge development all apprentices will be required to achieve the following qualifications:

• Level 3 Diploma in Aviation Maintenance (Development Competence)

Plus one of the following Technical Knowledge Qualifications as applicable to the pathway being undertaken:

• Level 3 Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance (Civil Aircraft Mechanical) approved by the CAA
• Level 3 Diploma in On-Aircraft Maintenance Category A
• EASA Aircraft Maintenance Licence Category A, Part 66 modules through an approved Part 147

Skysmart MRO is a fast-growing aircraft component maintenance company, seeking to recruit apprentices for our avionics department. We handle a wide array of components commonly found on A320, B737, and B777 aircraft families, including cockpit control panels, flight computers, and displays. With such a diverse range of components, the work is always engaging and varied, as few repairs are identical. As one of the only operators in Europe using ATEC 6 automatic test equipment, Skysmart MRO is ideally placed for growth in this business area. As such, we are searching for the right individual to provide comprehensive in-house training to, using both automatic and manual fault-finding techniques. We offer an exciting opportunity to learn from experienced engineers, enhance your technical skills, and become a valued member of the Skysmart MRO team. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will be fast-tracked towards becoming an approved Part 145 engineer.
