IT Support Engineer

SPG Resourcing is actively seeking an experienced IT Application Support Engineer for a rolling monthly contract to fill in for sick leave at our client based in Leeds. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in Atlassian, G-Suite, Linux, and basic networking. The primary responsibility will be to manage the internal support role by addressing the backlog of tickets. Experience with ISO27001 would be highly advantageous for this position.

Role: IT Application Support

Contract Length: 30-day rolling (covering sick leave) immediate start

Contract Status: Outside IR35

Rate: up to £300 a day

What skills we are looking for strong experience in:

• Atlassian
• G-Suite
• Basic Networks
• Linux

Nice to haves would include: AWS, Docker and Serverless Stacks.

Day to day:

• Act as the primary contact for day to day troubleshooting
• Source, prepare, track and maintain IT equipment
• Manage and configure users across software services
• Execute incident and problem management processes where necessary
• Maintain IT processes and documents
• Management and configuration of IT services and DNS services
• Conduct routine audits
• Contribute to the development and documentation of IT policies, procedures, and best practices

We really are looking for someone who has experience working in a similar role, with configuring and managing G-Suite and Atlassian products. Its essential you have good knowledge of operating systems such as Windows, MacOs, Linux distributions etc. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for this role and any experience in network troubleshooting or familiarity with the IS27001 standard would be a massive stand out.

Our client, located in Leeds City Centre, offers a fully flexible and hybrid working model without prescribed office days.

This process will be a 1-stage MS Teams interview with their CTO and will look to have someone start at the start of July dependant on availability.
