Job summary

We are looking for a Data Administrator to join our small and friendly team, delivering on all aspects of our Data and IT responsibilities.

The role as Data Administrator involves thorough use of EMIS Web, SystmOne and Microsoft office suite, with a good mixture of both team collaborations and individual working.

The successful candidate will be working closely with other members of data team and the practices, to provide organisational and administrative support to facilitate the delivery of targets within SSP Health.

The individual should have the following skills in:

o Essential: Understanding of how GP practices function

o Essential: great Excel knowledge (formulas)

o EMIS Web/SystmOne - preferrable

o Understanding of clinical coding

o Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook etc)

o IT competency (The role requires a significant amount of IT usage)

o Good communication skills

o Time Keeping and Management

The role includes close interaction with all SSP Practice staff and managers in order to support accurate data coding and target-based achievements.

  • Heavily Excel based role

  • Producing weekly/monthly reports for senior teams

As a Data Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate data entry, management, and reporting to support our healthcare operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and compile reports using Microsoft Excel.
  • Assist with data audits and quality checks.
  • Support the administrative team with various data-related tasks.
  • Accurately enter and update patient and clinical data into our healthcare database systems.
  • Ensure data integrity and confidentiality in line with NHS standards and policies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.

Requirements:

  • Basic understanding of data entry and administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data protection standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum: College level qualifications or equivalent.
  • No prior experience required, but any relevant experience or coursework in data administration or healthcare will be an advantage.
