2nd Line It Support Engineer

Service Service are pleased to be partnering with a growing MSP business who are searching to add a number of 2nd Line IT Technicians to their team. As this business continues to expand in 2025, now is a great time to be joining them.

With a focus on staff development there will be several opportunities for the successful candidates to study for industry recognised qualifications.

From a technical perspective I am looking for people to have experience in some of, if not, all the following:

• Proven experience in a 2nd line IT support role, preferably within an MSP environment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, Group Policy, and Office 365 administration.
• Experience troubleshooting networking issues (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, VLANs, and routing).
• Familiarity with Azure, VMware, Hyper-V, and cloud-based solutions is desirable.
• Experience with backup solutions, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
• Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft MCSA/MCP, or ITIL Foundation are a plus.

From a salary perspective the role is paying up to £35,000, including an extensive benefits package.
