Our client is currently on the lookout for a permanent application integration engineer who will be able to come in and make an impact from day one. You'll be tasked with building, upgrading, maintaining and supporting integrations between enterprise systems, applications and 3rd parties.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, extend, document, and support integration solutions.
- Create and maintain technical design documents and knowledgebase articles to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Handle 3rd line support by identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving customer issues.
- Collaborate with functional and technical consultants, architects, Microsoft, and vendors to resolve complex issues.
- Implement solutions following best practices, including error tracking and monitoring.
- Keep support tickets updated with clear and accurate communication.
- Provide consultation and deliver seamless change activities across lifecycle, projects, or service improvements.
- Conduct impact analysis across systems, processes, and integrations, working with teams to assess change implications.
- Ensure systems are secure, supported, and enhanced with out-of-the-box features where possible.
- Maintain updated documentation aligned with system changes.
- Stay current with specialist knowledge and skills.
Essential
- Extensive experience supporting and implementing integrations.
- Designing and implementing integration solutions using a range of technologies and protocols, such as Cloud, Azure, ESB, API, SOA, REST, SOAP, and event-driven architecture.
- Competence with JavaScript (TypeScript) or C# working with RESTful Web APIs.
- Ability to understand business problems and translate them into suitable technical solutions.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Administering release pipelines.
- Comfortable working with version control systems like Git or TFS.
Desirable
- Experience with BizTalk, Agile methodologies or Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure principles and security.
- Knowledge of using data migration tools.
- Microsoft Power Platform Developer Associate Certification or equivalent experience.
- A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Physical Chemistry is preferred, but not required.
