3rd Line Applications Engineer

12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Our client is seeking a talented Applications Support Specialist to join their talented support team on a 12 month fixed term contract.

In this role, you'll be providing expert technical support to the integration's teams, handling tasks like BAU, new builds, and project work. You'll also be the point of escalation for customer issues, working closely with local and centralised support teams to ensure deadlines and compliance are met. This is a customer-facing role, so excellent communication skills are key.

Essential Skills:

• Strong experience with Linux operating Systems
• Knowledge of Windows Server environments.
• Knowledge of containerisation (Docker).
• Experience with web servers like IIS, Apache, and Nginx.

Desirable Skills:

• Understanding of SSL certificates and virtual server platforms.
• Familiarity with Octopus Deploy, Bash/PowerShell, and Ansible.
• Knowledge of databases (MS SQL, MariaDB, MySQL, Cassandra).
• Proven 3rd Line Support experience.
