Job Summary: The PMO / Project Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining project management standards and practices across the organisation. This role ensures that all projects are executed effectively, on time, and within budget, while aligning with the company's strategic goals. The PMO Manager will oversee a team of project managers and coordinators, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement PMO processes, standards, and tools to manage and govern projects.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, providing regular updates to senior management.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Coordinate and manage the project portfolio, prioritising projects based on strategic objectives and resource availability.
  • Provide leadership and direction to project managers and project teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, developing contingency plans as necessary.
  • Facilitate project planning, including defining project scope, goals, deliverables, and time lines.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and best practices.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring effective communication and alignment with project objectives.
  • Provide training and mentoring to project managers and team members on PMO standards and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organisational policies.
  • Drive the adoption of project management tools and technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in project management or PMO
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and best practices.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex projects.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana) and MS Office Suite or any other related tools.
