Biomedical Scientist | Blood Sciences |Band 6 equivalent salary| Permanent| Full time 37.5 hours | Southampton|

Spire Southampton Pathology Service is recruiting for a permanent full time Biomedical Scientist to join their dynamic and forward-thinking team. The ideal candidate will possess experience in blood sciences and hold current HCPC registration.

*Shift based to cover weekdays 06.30-14.30/14.30-22:00 Saturdays 08:00-16:00 and Sundays 09:00-17:00 plus on call

Duties and responsibilities

You will be part of an experienced and supportive pathology team working within a state-of-the-art lab

  • Plan, analyse, assess and report pathology investigations
  • Analyse, interpret and report information and knowledge related to ideas and concepts
  • Develop and evaluate the movement of laboratory specimens, blood and tissues
  • Plan, monitor and quality assure the application of technology for measuring and monitoring pathology investigations

Who we're looking for

  • Must hold a degree in Biomedical Sciences and have significant experience within Blood Sciences
  • Have current HCPC registration
  • Minimum of 18 months post qualifying experience

  • Must hold a degree in Biomedical Sciences and have significant experience within Blood Sciences
