Life Support & Essential Skills Facilitator - Essex

Job summary

The person in this post will play an important role in ensuring our staff are confident, competent and in date with key areas of their mandatory training. Working closely with colleagues locally, as well as in Northampton and Essex/Birmingham, the successful individual will plan, deliver, assess and evaluate learning in Immediate Life Support, Basic Life Support and Safety Intervention Training. We want to be sure that the training people receive really is changing lives so theres a strong emphasis on learner experience and measuring both knowledge retention and behaviour change. The individual in this post will promote a culture of learning and practice development, ensuring skills are accessible to all.

Main duties of the job

  • A registered clinical professional; such as a Registered Nurse, Qualified Paramedic
  • IIHCD qualified Emergency Medical Technician with at least one year post qualification experience
  • Immediate life support instructor certification (Resuscitation UK)
  • Learning and Development Qualification (PTTLS or equivalent)
  • Experience of working in a mental health or a health and social care setting
  • Training, design and evaluation experience, delivering to a wide range of groups
  • Able to demonstrate an awareness of equality issues and commitments to the aims and objectives of the policy in employment and patient care
  • Skilled in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Positive attitude towards learning and development and high customer care.
  • Highly developed facilitation and presentation skills
