Job Title: Technical Business Analyst
Location: Hybrid (Peterborough area)
Contract: Inside IR35
Hours/Duration: Full time. Initial 1 Month contract with some potential to be extended

Our innovative and inspiring client is looking for an experienced and versatile Technical Business Analyst to work closely with the Data & Analytics and Enterprise project team on the development and implementation of a new ERP solution. The successful candidate must have strong technical expertise, be capable of working autonomously, and exhibit leadership when required. They will partner with stakeholders across the organisation to deeply understand business needs, products, and processes, taking a hands-on approach to elicit requirements, develop analysis artefacts, technical specifications, and data mapping documents. This is an inside IR35 contract position, which will initially last for 1 month, but potentially longer whilst the client looks for a permanent candidate to fulfil the position.

The Role of Technical Business Analyst
As a Technical Business Analyst, you will need to capture and define technical system requirements and characteristics for our clients' applications and solutions, which will include performance, security, migration, and integration needs. This role involves collaborating with Product Owners, Architects and Engineering teams to carry out:

  • requirements gathering and elicitation
  • data mapping an interfaces
  • Azure data environment and system integration
  • technical leadership and stakeholder engagement


About You
You will have demonstrable experience as a Technical Business Analyst, with the following skills:

  • data mapping, API integration and data transformation
  • extensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure technologies, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Service Bus, Logic Apps, and Azure SQL
  • strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes and hands-on experience with data integration projects, particularly in Azure cloud environments
  • experience in defining source-to-target mappings and managing data flow across complex systems
  • familiarity with application architecture concepts such as API Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, and RESTful web services
  • excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • demonstrable experience working in Agile delivery teams and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve successful project outcomes
  • experience in data migration and transformation projects within a large enterprise setting
