This is a full-time contracted position (37.5 hours per week) for a fixed term of 12 months.

Salary

This role has been aligned to Band 8a (£50,952 - £57,349).

Main duties of the job

What's the role?

We have an exciting new opportunity for a DTL Ambassador to join our team! This role will be hosted by Suffolk GP Federation and funded by SNEE Training Hub.

The core objective of the DTL Ambassador role is to support SNEE PCNs and Practices to deliver ongoing improvement of services. The role requires experience in business and service improvement with expertise in transformational change and an understanding of general practice digital systems and how they can be utilised to drive improvement.

The post holder will work with system leaders and teams in conjunction with PCNs and Practices across SNEE to support service improvements, identify opportunities to make positive transformation to deliver change in line with NHSE and ICS strategy.

Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Build relationships with PCN Managers and DTLs across SNEE to develop consensus for improvement; understand current barriers and challenges to transformation; share best practice and support the identification of solutions
  • To identify and implement support networks for DTLs and PCN managers across SNEE in conjunction with the SNEE Training Hub and system teams including IT and Digital and Primary Care
  • To work with the SNEE Training Hub, SNEE Primary Care Teams and system partners to understand current patient data and service delivery and identify possible pressure points and to share as appropriate
  • To work collaboratively with SNEE Training Hub, SNEE Primary Care Teams and system partners to identify alternative service delivery models which could provide improvement opportunities including technology
  • To work with the SNEE Training Hub in the role of subject matter expert on digital and change transformation and represent the Training Hub on relevant forums
  • To promote transformation and change management that aligns with broader ICS strategy and improvement approaches
  • To support DTLs, Practice Managers and PCN Managers to identify and participate in relevant training and development opportunities to support the achievement of agreed improvements

Person Specification

Education & Qualifications

Essential
  • Educated to Degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of qualification or significant equivalent previous proven experience.
Desirable
  • Project management qualification or working towards

Experience & Knowledge

Essential
  • Experience of working in general practice with a good knowledge of practice digital systems, processes and procedures.
  • Experience of successfully delivering change and improvement programmes in a patient/customer facing environment
  • Experience of using programme management and improvement techniques to drive change
  • Experience of working with data to identify areas of challenge and track/access the impact of change in the immediate and over time
Desirable
  • Experience of managing projects in NHS or healthcare services
  • Experience in Training/Skills development
