Contract opportunity
Location: Central London - 3-4 days on site per week
Daily rate: £(Apply online only)pd negotiable - Inside IR35
Contract length: 12-24 months
Our client, a well-established company within the financial industry, is seeking a highly skilled Technical Solutions Developer to join their team on a long-term contract. This is a key role which will support the wider business on a range of projects and business needs, reporting into the Head of Technology.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and stakeholder skills, comfortable with interacting with all levels of seniority across a range of departments.
The role covers a wide variety of technologies and involves working on multiple projects at the same time, each with different scale, scope and focus.
Responsibilities
- Create innovative solutions with well-chosen technologies, ensuring each solution is documented, reliable, robust, and easy to maintain
- Manage and support existing solutions, providing break-fix support as needed
- Collaborate with teams across the organisation, offering advisory services to successfully enhance digital literacy within the company
Essential Technical experience:
- Microsoft PowerApps (Microsoft Copilot Studio) for creating no-code solutions
- Office 365 Apps including SharePoint and PowerBI, to support product enhancement for customers
- Python for lightweight solutions, such as API integrations
- YAML for GitHub pipelines
- Markdown for GitHub documentation
- Powershell to enable infrastructure automation
- Bicep for infrastructure automation
- Azure for cloud solutions; broad experience with Azure products is beneficial
- Product thinking to address customer needs and challenges
- Solution design to take customer requirements and create comprehensive implementation plans
Desirable Skills
- Experience with the Salesforce platform
- Knowledge of SQL/Sybase
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and its applicability for business solutions
- Experience with PlanView AgilePlace
- SharePoint Online administration for permissions, document libraries, and integration with Microsoft Teams
- IT infrastructure knowledge, including networking (switches, routers), security (firewalls, Cisco ISE), and server room management
- Basic understanding of data science
Experience and qualifications
- Strong proficiency in written and spoken English
- Professionalism, a presentable appearance, and a solid work ethic
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent documentation skills for producing high-quality process documentation and diagrams
- Experience working effectively in remote and in-person teams
- Friendly, approachable, and enjoys working in a global, diverse team
- Interest in delivering IT and business changes, and continuous self-education
- Passion for technology and learning, with a generalist approach and the initiative to dive into technical subjects as needed
