As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, from cloud architecture and infrastructure management to continuous improvement and automation. You will design and manage complex Azure cloud deployments, ensuring optimal performance and cost-efficiency. Your role will also involve developing automation scripts, implementing security measures, and providing technical support. Additionally, you will mentor colleagues and create detailed documentation for cloud architecture and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Your duties as the Senior Cloud Engineer will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure Azure cloud infrastructure.
2. Oversee complex Azure cloud deployments, ensuring optimal performance and cost-efficiency.
3. Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline cloud operations.
4. Implement and enforce robust security policies for all cloud environments.
5. Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and troubleshoot issues.
6. Coach and mentor colleagues on cloud solutions and security best practices.
7. Create and maintain detailed documentation for cloud architecture and policies.
8. Provide technical support and serve as the final point of escalation for cloud-related issues.
9. Develop new policies aligned with business needs and cloud technologies.
10. Lead and advocate for cloud technology advancements within the organisation.
Candidate Profile:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2. Proven experience designing, deploying, and managing Azure cloud environments.
3. Strong background in cloud architecture, infrastructure management, and security best practices.
4. Experience with automation, scripting, and CI/CD tools (e.g., Terraform, PowerShell, Azure DevOps).
5. Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer) are preferred.
